City Edition: What's In My Bag?

I think one of my many "guilty" pleasures is watching 'What's In My Bag?' videos on YouTube. They are definitely a good nosy but also a really good way of figuring out what junk you need to get rid of and some inspiration on what you should be/start including. Since I don't have a YouTube channel (never say never) and I LOVE this type of post I thought it was a right of passage to include this on my blog.

Being a city girl, through and through, I have "mastered" the art of packing my handbag for various occasions in the city so here goes-my take on What's In My Bag?

The Essentials:
Phone
Pen
Oyster Card
Purse
Keys
Hand sanitiser
Hand cream (Autumn/ Winter)
Compact Mirror
Lipbalm
Umbrella
Headphones
Caudalie Beauty Elixir
Perfume

My phone, my keys and my card holder are the first to go into my bag. If I just have a clutch, that's all I have with a lipbalm/lipstick in there too. But when I have more space, I add a pen/pencil because you never know when they are necessary, hand sanitiser because sometimes hygiene in the city can be quite grim to say the least and hand cream, especially during the autumn/ winter seasons.

Headphones are (metaphorically) glued to me! I have to be listening to music when travelling so it will be tragic the day I forget them. Does anyone else feel the same way? When it comes to being a pro bag packer, an umbrella is on the mental list too. For obvious reasons, no European city bag goes without an umbrella, especially if you live in England!

I like to keep things light but inevitably, the bigger my bag, the more items I feel the need to fill it with so obviously, I have to have a mini perfume in there, a compact mirror and Caudalie's beauty elixir. My sister introduced me to this holy grail of a misting spray and oh boy am I glad she did. Definitely go for this misting spray if you were thinking of trying one, it has essential oils in it too- fancy! I used to over pack but aside from a pair of sunglasses and maybe a book/magazine I don't carry much else.

Let me know what you include in your bags-I'm probably missing out on some treasures!?
