Sri Lanka: Wasgamuwa

My Aunt picked us up from Kandy and headed towards Wasgamuwa National Park. The park has a small museum with a collection of taxidermy animals. Somewhat frightening but quite cool.

After our little visit of the museum we hopped into the safari jeep and prepared ourselves for a safari adventure. After a very quick ride we were in the midst of two friendly elephants. The pair were then joined by another elephant, a little shy but very cute nonetheless.

We were so excited! Even the elephants were happy...

Now you know what I mean by happy.

We roamed our way round the national park and found ourselves among more gorgeous elephants. I think they may be one of my favourite animals! The day was coming to an end and the sunset that followed was as good as our day at the park.

After our long but very lovely day, we were incredibly tired and covered in dust so made our way back. (A shower was definitely in order.)
